Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain information when you use the Hi mobile application (the “Service”), and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use the Service.

A) Information you provide

Account information: information needed to create and maintain your account (e.g., username, email or sign-in identifier, and a unique account ID).

Content you create and upload: flips and posts inside flips, including photos, videos, audio, captions, and any other content you choose to upload.

Support communications: information you provide when you contact us. If you choose, you may provide a photo/video selfie to verify account ownership for account recovery.

B) Information collected automatically

Usage data: how you use the Service (e.g., features used, actions taken, timestamps).

Device and app data: device type/model, operating system version, app version, language, and similar technical information needed to operate the Service.

Log data: IP address, approximate location derived from IP (city/region), and security-related logs (e.g., to protect accounts and prevent abuse).

C) Permissions you control

Photos / camera / microphone (optional): If you grant permission, we access these only to let you create and upload content. You can change permissions in your device settings.

D) Location

Precise location (GPS): If you enable Location Services and grant permission, we collect your precise GPS location to (1) show local weather information and (2) provide location-based recommendations in the Service.

Approximate location: We may infer approximate location (e.g., city/region) from your IP address for security and basic service operation, and to provide a general experience when precise location is not enabled.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

Provide and operate the Service (create accounts, store and deliver your content, maintain your profile and flips).

Personalize and improve the Service (e.g., improve feed ranking or content organization based on usage).

Safety and security (detect suspicious activity, prevent abuse, protect accounts, enforce our Terms).

Customer support (respond to requests and troubleshoot issues).

Legal compliance (comply with applicable laws and valid legal requests).

How We Disclose Information

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your information for advertising.

We disclose information only in these situations:

A) Service provider
We use cloud hosting and storage service provider to operate the Service. It processes information on our behalf under our instructions.

B) Legal and safety
We may access, preserve, or disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:

comply with applicable law or a valid legal request; or

protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the Service.

International Data Transfers

Your information may be stored and processed on cloud servers in USA. If processing occurs outside your country, we take steps designed to protect the information consistent with this Policy and applicable law.

Data Retention

We keep information as long as necessary to operate the Service and for legitimate and legal purposes.

Typical retention:

Account and content: retained while your account is active. If you delete content or your account, we delete it from active systems within a reasonable period.

Backups: may persist for up to 30 days after deletion.

Security logs: retained for 6 months for abuse prevention and system integrity.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your information.

You can:

delete certain content in the app, and/or

request account deletion and data requests by contacting alina@hi.industries.

We may verify your identity before fulfilling requests.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We will notify you before material changes take effect and give you an opportunity to review the updated Policy before continuing to use the Service.
